The two historians that came together in the most unlikely of circumstances created the only known published and available atlas of Arkansas in the Civil War. The full color pages help historians and researchers find previously unknown sites.

Randy Puckett lives in Conway and is the “map guy” that created the full color atlas pages over the span of ten years. His love for maps is obvious when you see the full color illustrations of Arkansas in 1864 in this atlas.

Ron Kelley comes from a historical background and serves as the Editor of the the Arkansas Toothpick publications, including this atlas. He works in Helena, Arkansas as a public historian and is the field reporter for The Helena World newspaper- one of the oldest still-functioning newspapers in the state.
