Fort Curtis

Living historians will be in Fort Curtis this Fourth of July in Helena, Arkansas to interpret the Battle of Helena that took place on July 4, 1863. The event will include the firing of a full scale cannon every fifteen minutes from 9am until noon. Both infantry and artillery living historians will show visitors what camp life was like, they will perform military drill, and answer any questions about the Civil War or what it is like as a living historian.
