A life size statue of Major General Patrick R. Cleburne now rests at the Helena Museum in downtown Helena, Arkansas. As majestic as its Ringgold counterpart, this statue was funded in part by the Arkansas Arts Council and makes a welcome addition to Cleburne’s Arkansas home on the Mississippi River.

The statue is directly across the street from where Cleburne lived while he was in Helena, and only about 50 feet from where he buried his dog in the lot across the street prior to the War Between the States. The statue will attract Civil War buffs from across the nation and we are very excited to have him here! there will be an informal reception for the artist/sculptor on October 10, 2012 at the Helena Museum at 5pm.
